Red hair, whether cherry blonde or a true red, is both a blessing and a liability. This striking hair color calls immediate attention and invites interest. The flip side, however, is a limitation on the colors of clothes and jewels that make up the rest of your appearance.
Green and gold are two of the most becoming jewelry colors for red heads, and red-headed actresses such as Marcia Cross from Desperate Housewives or Cynthia Nixon from Sex and The City are often caught on camera wearing these colors.
All shades of green are becoming to red hair – from pale verdant colors to rich shades of jade. Every shade of red hair has its own matching green, warm dark green for red and coppery hair, light green for lighter red and cherry blonde.
Gold is another perfect color for true red, auburn, or copper hair, as it enhances the warm aura of its color. Marcia Cross knows it well and is often seen with gold necklaces and earrings. Although Cross wears black, which may make her face look sallow, the charming necklace compensates by enhancing the naturally warm color of her hair and skin.
