Design has always been an big influence on my life. My grandparents were master silversmiths, both in Europe and the United States. While jewelry is more my cup of tea, I inherited their love of good handiwork and their European outlook on life. Being a girl with a deep devotion for fashion and a passion for writing, I am thrilled to be a part of the Gallery Atlantic team.
My interest in fashion design was cultivated in high school, where I first learned to sew. In university I furthered my interests with studies in pattern making and graphic design, which developed into a career centered on writing and web design. Having worked in London for five years, I decided to move to the big city across the pond and have fallen in love with the surroundings. The style here is sharper, the people are gutsier, and the fashion is like nothing else on earth.
My style choices run the gamut between Donna Karan to Betsey Johnson. Some days I feel conservative and crave an urban slate palette from head to toe. Some days, I want to be Stevie Nicks, in a tulle broomstick skirt and a battalion of necklaces. Ralph Lauren's Fall 2011-gypsy inspired collection is absolutely stunning and has become one of my all time favorites lines.
My favorite perfume is the heady cocoa scent of Alchemy by Rochas. I find it is a great way to get my chocolate fix, without the guilt.
