Liza Sonia Talks about Color Schemes
".... all my pieces are unique."

CEO of GalleryAtlantic.com: How do you choose which color scheme to use? Which stones to use? Is that something that you spend a lot of time on or is it more spontaneous? Do you just sort of feel the stone and say, this is going to work?
Liza Sonia: Well there is the practical answer which is that in fashion there are a lot of colors which come in and out of season so I do try to keep in mind the season I am creating the collection for, so if it’s a spring collection I will try to us pallets that are working with that season and there is another practical issue, that when I buy my stones that are already cut what I do is I look for the best quality ones and sometimes [because it is] a natural product so one month that type colored of gem stone may be available and the next month it might not. So that’s another reason why all my pieces are unique.
The other thing is that it is spontaneous. I think that there are some colors that people are drawn to. At certain times you might notice that you go through a pink phase and everything you wear that week is pink or everything you wear that week is turquoise. I think artists and designers have the same thing going on where they are just to a color for some particular reason and then they work with it and I think that’s what happens with artists like myself.
