When Beyonce wanted to spruce up her lover's look and lifestyle, she dropped the name of jewelry designer Lorraine Schwartz in her popular song and video “Upgrade U.”  In the video, Jay-Z and Knowles name-drop several primary examples of luxury, grouping Lorraine Schwartz among Cartier, Hermes and Ralph Lauren.  Lorraine Schwartz has captured the attention of celebrities, and it isn’t for nothing that in hip-hop circles she is known as the “Queen of Bling.”

Lorraine Schwartz is quickly becoming the Queen of Celebrity Placement, and is the jewelry designer with the Midas touch for getting celebrities to wear her pieces. She doesn’t send gift bags through her PR agent – celebrities come to her office in the Diamond District and compete for a private audience with the jewelry designer who is a celebrity in her own right, and whose reputation sparkles like her multi-faceted diamonds.  

Ms. Schwartz is a third generation diamond jewelry designer, and her family business has made her into a status symbol. Her Diamond Monkey collection, launched in 2007, wedded the axiom of “See no Evil, Hear no Evil, Speak no Evil” to the beauty of her gems, encouraging her wearers to consider their inner beauty, as well as attending to their lustrous image.

This list of celebrities who wear Lorraine Schwartz’s creations is a long, and if diamonds are a girl’s best friend, then Lorraine Schwartz appears to be the most popular kids on the block. Jennifer Lopez was spotted wearing a collection of Schwartz’s yellow diamonds and a pair of crushed gold chandelier earrings, along with a yellow brushed gold cuff, a canary emerald cut diamond platinum ring and a yellow gold rose cut diamond ring. 

Beyonce was decked out in Lorraine Schwartz’s diamonds at a recent celebrity event; she wore a 20 carat grey and yellow diamond cocktail ring, an ivory and classic diamond cuff and 40 karat iridescent diamond earrings. Schwartz’s white jade earrings fashioned from 18k gold and yellow diamonds were donned by Sarah Paulson, who also wore 18k white and yellow gold diamond caviar bangle bracelets on her wrists.  

Simply put, Lorraine Schwartz is the jewelry designer who knows diamonds, and hers are the highest quality diamonds in the spectrum. It is no surprise that her client base is comprised mainly of stars that can shell out the dough for premium diamonds and know where to go for the best way to shine.
