This season’s sweet, feminine style has so much romance it will send you straight to Paris, with love.
In honor of Valentine’s Day, I wanted to put together a new collection inspired by the effortlessly chic young women of Paris. Its slightly bohemian, very girly, and perfect for early spring. This look combines floral prints, pastel colors, a classic stripe, and a touch of lace. To check out my inspiration behind this trend, check out my board on Pinterest.
Some of my favorite pieces include the Rose Hip Silver Ring, which has a slightly Victorian feel, and makes for a really unique statement ring. Combine it with your choice of lace handbag by Chocolate; my favorite is the white hobo iteration. These accessories perfectly accent an a-line printed dress with a bold pink belt with a floral detail (great for pear shaped girls like me). Finish the look with bold pink wedges and pink ankle socks for the perfect brunch-with-the-girls outfit.
This flirty look can also be channeled perfectly for work by building an outfit around one of the many great brocade statement necklaces in this collection, my fave being the aptly named Heaven Necklace by Gypsy Global Chic. If you work in a more professional office, go for a lace blouse in a pale color paired with this season’s pink chinos and matching pumps, then top it with a one-button blazer. If you work in a more casual office (as I do) go bold by trading the blouse and jacket for a bold, oversized striped top and a big cuff like the Two Tone Floral Bangle by Belargo. Either way, try doing your hair in slightly undone braids to give the full effect.
And of course, this romantic look is perfect for date night, whether it’s with your husband of many years or a hot first date. The key here is the beautiful Farfalle Earrings by Urban Posh, which perfectly accent a lace mini dress (great on petite girls). Add a sexy sandal, a glam clutch, and a great gold ring like the Shula Gold Bow ring for a look your boo will love. To finish the look, go for soft waves in your hair, again, don’t try to make it too perfect or constrained; I like bumble + bumble’s Curl Conscious Cream before a loose blow out to achieve this. For make up try a pink lipstick in a shade that matches your skin tone, with purple eye shadow, a smoky liner, and a rose-pink blush.
I hope this collection inspires you to add a little sweetness to your wardrobe no matter where your travels take you.
