The stars came out on June 7, in celebration of the Council of Fashion Designers of America 2010 Awards. The lavish event, generously underwritten by Swarovski featured the hottest contemporary designers working in fashion. Iman, (escorted by long-time partner and musician David Bowie), Gwyneth Paltrow and Puff Diddy were just a few of the celebrities on hand to pay homage to the rising stars of fashion design. The competition was particularly fierce this year, with hungry, young designers like Richard Chai, facing off against established names for the top prizes at the CFDA Fashion Awards.
The glamorous occasion offered a few serious moments to honor those lost, whose contributions to fashion would never be forgotten. Fashion muse and screen icon Sarah Jessica Parker gave a touching presentation about the late Alexander McQueen and attendees were treated to a look at the designer's final collection.
